Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for an Infrastructure Engineer to join the team in Richard’s Bay. This individual be responsible for maintaining and proactively managing the infrastructure systems in the Laboratory and office environments, this includes specialised Analytical computers, end users’ devices, associated software and systems are operating in optimal condition. You will form part a highly skilled team to ensure that the business IT Need are met.

Required Competencies

Required Knowledge and Work Experience
3 – 5 years’ experience in IT.
Degree in Information Technology, or the equivalent in terms of education, experience and training.
Exposure to Cyber security solutions.
Working knowledge of data center management techniques.
Knowledge of Microsoft Server products.
Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, Active Directory.
Knowledge of Asset Management Tool.
Knowledge of Microsoft SQL is a plus, but not essential.
Some exposure to or knowledge of Citrix technologies.
Some exposure to or knowledge of SAN technologies, NetApp preferred.
Working knowledge of backup/restore solutions.
Hands-on experience with Virtualization, Clustering, DR/BCP Best Practices.
Extensive experience utilizing several operating systems.
Technical certification such as MCSE or MCITP preferred.
Experience with HP equipment a plus.
Exposure to LAB computer security, monitoring and configuring.
Knowledge of Microsoft LAB products.
