In September, our Learning and Development team hosted a week-long Graduate and Apprentice Event designed to empower our newest team members as they embark on their careers at Alfred H Knight.

At Alfred H Knight, we believe in investing in our people. Our Learning and Development department provides the resources and training necessary to ensure that our colleagues have the skills and knowledge they need to thrive. The week kicked off with a breakfast where new starters had the chance to connect with each other and existing team members.

Following this, our CEO, Ian Baxter, and COO, Tom Walder, welcomed the group, sharing insights into Alfred H Knight, the industry and our shared vision and values. Their personal stories and inspiring words set the tone for an exciting week ahead.

Throughout the event, a range of interactive workshops and activities—including team-building, industry knowledge sessions, and practicals—kept everyone engaged. These hands-on experiences not only encouraged collaboration but also fostered trust and ambition within the group, aligning perfectly with our core values: Expertise, Ambition, Collaboration and Trust.

As the week ended, we were thrilled to see the enthusiasm and excitement of our graduates and apprentices as they embark on their new roles, armed with a wealth of new knowledge. We look forward to witnessing their journeys with us at Alfred H Knight and are excited to see how their careers grow and blossom.
