AHK Group is pleased to announce its acquisition, on the 29th January 2019, of Waste Research Limited.

Based in Rotherham, Waste Research Ltd is a leading independent provider of inspection, sampling and testing services for the Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) and Solid Recovered Fuel (SRF) industry.

The acquisition of WRL represents a key milestone toward AHK’s vision to become a leader in the provision of inspection, sampling and testing services to the RDF and SRF industry.

Alfred H Knight Energy Services has extensive UK and international experience and knowledge in the sampling and analysis of solid fuels including; coal, coke, biomass and SRF. AHK Energy Services’ headquarters and principal testing laboratory are located in Dundonald, Ayrshire, UK.

WRL will rebrand to become a part of Alfred H Knight Knight Energy Services.

David Wilson, Clare Wilson and Carl Wilson, of WRL, will continue in their current roles and will, working closely in conjunction with AHK Energy Services’ senior management, continue to operate from the WRL site in Rotherham.
