Olympic Park — New State of the Art Sampling Facility
In order to support an increased demand for sampling and analysis services in the waste and solid fuel sectors, Alfred H Knight is excited to announce the development of a new state of the art, specialist sample preparation facility in Scotland.
Located within Olympic Business Park in Kilmarnock, Ayrshire the 15,000 square foot site aims to expedite the current testing process through alleviating the workload of the current headquarters in Dundonald.
Olympic Park will be fully equipped to provide first class sample preparation facilities for Biomass, Coal and Waste and is expected to handle in excess of 15,500 samples per year. Once prepared, samples will then be sent to the Dundonald headquarters, also located in Kilmarnock, for analysis.
AHK’s continued investment in its equipment, facilities and staff demonstrates the group’s drive to deliver an exemplary service to its clients across the UK in the Waste and Alternative Fuels sector.
David Kerrigan, Group Head of Energy Services adds:
“After observing the evolution of the ‘energy sector’ and diversification of our service portfolio we decided that now was the correct time to significantly invest and develop a ‘state of the art’ sample preparation facility. It will provide our clientele a more efficient and wider service offering, whilst looking forward to future growth and ultimately respond better to the ever evolving industry needs”
The Olympic Park facility is due to open its doors early 2022, but in the meantime you can follow the progress of the build here.
