We are pleased to announce that Alfred H Knight (AHK), a leading provider of global inspection and testing services, has acquired a majority stake in Dr. Amin Controllers Pvt. Ltd. (DACPL), India.

Based in Mumbai, DACPL is a family-owned company whose values closely align with those of Alfred H Knight. Since 1950, it has prioritised people and service delivery at the heart of its testing, inspection, and certification services.

This important acquisition follows a successful partnership since January 2023 and includes 30+ branch offices, 7 laboratories, and 1,300+ employees. It strengthens AHK’s ability to address further opportunities in the Metals and Minerals, Solid Fuels, and Agriculture markets across India.

A Strategic Milestone

The acquisition of a majority stake in DACPL marks a strategic milestone for Alfred H Knight, expanding its presence beyond its existing network in over 45 countries. It positions the company to better serve a significant and growing global market.

As part of this move, AHK has appointed respected industry leader Dr. Sudhir Gupta as Managing Director of DACPL. With 27 years of experience in the TIC industry across India, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East, Dr. Gupta brings extensive regional and sector expertise to the role.
