ASMIN Industrial Limitada, an Alfred H Knight company, has secured an exclusive licence to carry out Geopyörä Breakage Testing in Chile and Bolivia.

This partnership will provide our experts with new technology that can be utilised to deliver industry-standard testing such as Drop Weight Index (JKDWT), Bond Mill Index (BMWI) and Sag Mill Comminution (SMC), in a swift and financially competitive manner.

The Geopyörä Breakage Test uses small discrete samples from full or halved one-metre sections of drill cores or less than a kilogram of crushed rocks. This allows integration with geochemical assaying labs for a better understanding of variability mapping, which is ideal for geometallurgical applications.

The data measured by Geopyörä will allow expert metallurgists to accurately estimate the rocks’ mechanical and hardness properties to control crushing operations.
