Quality Manager

WHAT IS ON OFFER

Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Manager to join our team in Raamsdonksveer. In this role, you will have a unique opportunity to take on a dual responsibility. Initially, you will take on the role of Laboratory Quality Manager for LMA B.V., where your primary focus will be achieving and maintaining ISO 17025 accreditation. This involves ensuring compliance with IEC/ISO 17025:2017 standards and accreditation body requirements whilst fostering a strong quality culture within the laboratory. Key responsibilities will include strengthening quality management systems and integrating quality standards into daily operations.

As the laboratory’s accreditation and quality systems are firmly established, the role will expand to include strategic leadership across AHK’s European operations. You will play a key role in standardising best practices, supporting other business units with quality system implementations and driving quality initiatives throughout the region.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

To be successful at Alfred H Knight you will need to display the following:

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE 

 

Required Competencies

  • Capable of  working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Have a Collaborative approach as you will be  working closely with laboratory staff, management and accreditation bodies.
  • Ability to adjust to evolving quality requirements and regulatory landscapes.
  • Highly organised with excellent record-keeping and documentation management skills
  • Proactive in identifying quality issues and implementing effective solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills with a structured approach to identifying risks, implementing controls, and ensuring compliance.
  • Ability to engage with and influence laboratory teams and management, fostering a collaborative approach to quality.

 

Required Work Experience

  • Experience in training staff on quality standards, procedures and best practices, ensuring compliance with ISO 17025 requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting internal audits in accordance with ISO17025, ISO 19011, or similar standards.
  • Strong understanding of ISO 17025, with practical experience in implementing and maintaining accreditation.
  • HBO-Level or equivalent experience in quality assurance, laboratory operations, or a related field.

 

Travel 

  • Travel will be limited during the initial two years while focusing on LMA’s accreditation and QMS development. However, once the accreditation is achieved and embedded, occasional travel within the European region may be required to support broader quality initiatives.
