Accountant

Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for a Accountant to join the team in Maputo, Mozambique. This individual will be responsible for providing accurate & timely financial data recording & support. You will ensure that internal controls are followed to maintain sound financial integrity and the accurate, timely processing of all accounting transactions.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES

To be successful at Alfred H Knight you will need to display the following:

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE

 

Required Competencies

• Good timekeeping and time management skills. 
• Excellent written and oral communication skills. 
• ‘Right first time’ approach, completes work to a high standard, continually looking for improvements and strong problem-solvers, high level of attention to detail is key within this role. 
• Handles challenges in a mature manner. 
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Good attention to detail.
• Fluency in English and Portuguese is non-negotiable (reading, writing and speaking).

 

Required Qualifications

• Accredited B Com Accounting Degree or an equivalent Qualification.

 

Required work experience

• Minimum 5 years’ experience.
• Taxation experiences an advantage.
