Over a three-day visit to Tianjin, Ian Baxter, Chief Executive Officer and Thomas Walder, Chief Operations Officer had the opportunity to explore AHK China’s newly expanded headquarters. The visit included a comprehensive tour of the office led by Mark Quillinan, General Manager – AHK China.

As part of the tour, Ian and Tom were introduced to the Business Development, Customer Services and Operations teams, with whom they shared insights and perspectives and discussed ongoing projects. They also visited AHK China’s TEDA Sample Preparation Facilities, the XEDA Minerals laboratory and the New Energy Services and Agriculture Laboratories.

A highlight of the visit was a trip to the Tianjin port, the vital starting point for shipments. Here, they were able to observe the logistics operations that drive the company’s supply chain. They also met with major clients, visited new partners, and engaged with customers to strengthen business relationships and explore further opportunities.

The visit culminated in a welcome party at the office, where Ian and Thomas took the time to personally greet and appreciate the local staff for their hard work and commitment. In a lighter moment, Ian triumphed in the Inaugural AHK China Ping Pong Match at TEDA in the final.

Following their time in Tianjin, the executives continued their customers’ visits across China, reinforcing the company’s presence and partnerships in the region.
