So far this year, AHK colleagues have demonstrated collaboration across borders by coming together from around the world to share ideas, work on projects, and gain valuable knowledge, with the goal to remain one unified global team.

MOZAMBIQUE TEAM VISITS SOUTH AFRICA

Earlier this year, members of our Mozambique team including Toni Carneiro, Procurement Regional Manager, visited Richards Bay, South Africa to gain valuable site knowledge.

Further to this, Faizal Abdul, Branch Manager, had the opportunity to familiarise himself with our coal sample preparation equipment and practices, whilst Nario Sicandar, Administrator, spent time with Danie Schoeman, IT Technician, in order to learn more about our IT infrastructure and procedures.

TANZANIA ADMIN WORKSHOPS

The team in Tanzania recently hosted a number of workshops that saw colleagues within administration roles take part in activities including brain teasers and Q&A sessions, in order to boost productivity whilst building on their industry knowledge.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGERS VISIT BEIRA AND JOHANNESBURG

At the beginning of the year, a number of our Business Development Managers visited sites in Beira and Johannesburg.

Jonas Kamonere, Business Development Manager visited Beira, while Hava Abdulrazak, General Manager in Mozambique, and Paulino Posse, Business Development Manager, visited sites across the region in order to exchange knowledge and develop current projects.

VISITS TO PERU

Recently, Zuleimy Alfaro, Head of Administration in Colombia, joined colleagues from Bolivia and Ecuador to visit our laboratory in Peru.

During their visit, they had the opportunity to meet with members of our commercial team, key account managers and sample reception personnel in order to exchange vital knowledge and communications.

WILL MILES AND ALFIE SAUNDERS VISIT CHINA

Earlier this year, Will Miles, Agriculture Operations Specialist, and Alfie Saunders, Corporate Development Coordinator, visited AHK China’s Agriculture Operations.

Hosted by Mark Quillinan, General Manager, Vincent Diao, Agriculture Business Line Manager, and Jack Lui, Bulk Fertilizer Business Line Manager, Will and Alfie had the opportunity to meet with colleagues across a number of departments in order to learn more about our operations in China.

Alfie had this to say about their trip, “The discussions, meetings and training received were incredibly valuable and I’m confident that the insights and ideas we exchanged will contribute to the ongoing growth of our business. I look forward to the continued collaboration between our teams.”

SIMON THORNTON VISITS COLOMBIA

At the beginning of Q3, Simon Thornton, Regional Technical Representative, based in the UK, visited Colombia to meet with members of the local team, review processes and build a continuous improvement plan for operations across the region.
