Internal Communications Assistant

WHAT IS ON OFFER

Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for an Internal Communications Assistant to join our Marketing team at our Headquarters based in Liverpool, UK.

The Internal Communications Assistant supports the Internal Communications function within the Group Marketing & Communication team. This position assists the Internal Communications Manager in effectively disseminating information, promoting employee engagement, and maintaining a positive internal communications environment.

A key focus of this role is managing the company intranet, which includes content production, continuous updates, and improvements. The primary purpose of this role is to assist in the coordination and execution of various internal communications initiatives, ensuring clear and consistent messaging throughout the organisation and keeping the intranet fresh and engaging for all employees.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

To be successful at Alfred H Knight you will need to display the following:

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE 

 

Essential 

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to convey messages effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Proficient in utilising various communication tools and platforms, including the entire Google Suite and Canva. Desirable experience with intranet software or other digital communication tools.
  • Creative individual with strong design capabilities and meticulous attention to detail in visual communication.
  • Can provide training and support to employees on using intranet platforms and other communication tools effectively.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the capability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines and objectives are met.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and achieving collective goals.
  • Experience managing relationships with external vendors and stakeholders for third-party software implementation and service delivery related to internal communications.
  • Knowledge of internal communication best practices, industry trends and emerging trends.
  • Additional language would be advantageous.

 

Required Work Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a marketing or communications-related role.
  • Proven expertise in producing, editing, proofreading, and distributing content across various marketing communication channels, including familiarity with content management systems (CMS)/intranet platforms.
  • Experience leading and successfully managing cross-functional projects from initiation to completion.
  • Robust design and creation skills using software such as Canva to produce company-branded content.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Business or a related field (or equivalent experience with the ambition to gain qualifications).

Travel

Overseas travel may be required to any of our network of offices.
