Alfred H Knight Achieves SANAS Accreditation To Support Load Applications In Southern Africa
We are pleased to announce that Alfred H Knight South Africa is one of a select few organisations to have achieved SANAS accreditation to conduct Flow Moisture Point (FMP), Transportable Moisture Limit (TML) and Moisture testing on vessels being loaded across Southern Africa.
As of the 30th of June 2024, the South African Maritime Safety Authority (SAMSA) is no longer accepting IMSBC authorisation to load applications if the company has not applied for a Moisture Management Plan (MMP) Approval. Therefore, if you export solid bulk cargo in Southern Africa and cannot certify that an accredited organisation has tested your shipment, you cannot load your vessel.
Our team in South Africa acted swiftly to ensure we could continue to support organisations across the region. As one of a select number of accredited inspection and testing companies that can serve the whole of Southern Africa, Alfred H Knight is able to ensure miners, shippers and traders can secure and certify their high-value commodities for trade.
To ensure our clients receive the most accurate and reliable results, we utilise a wealth of experience in sampling and sample preparation to ensure all samples are representative of your materials. Then, our experts conduct rapid FMP, TML and Moisture analysis using high-quality equipment in state-of-the-art facilities.
